Non-Gaussian features of primordial fluctuations in single field inflationary models

چکیده
We compute the three point correlation functions for primordial scalar and tensor fluctuations in single field inflationary models. We obtain explicit expressions in the slow roll limit where the answer is given terms of the two usual slow roll parameters. In a particular limit the three point functions are determined completely by the tilt of the spectrum of the two point functions. We also make some remarks on the relation of this computation to dS/CFT and AdS/CFT. We emphasize that (A)dS/CFT can be viewed as a statement about the wavefunction of the universe.

Trispectrum versus bispectrum in single-field inflation
In the standard slow-roll inflationary cosmology, quantum fluctuations in a single field, the inflaton, generate approximately Gaussian primordial density perturbations. At present, the bispectrum and trispectrum of the density perturbations have not been observed and the probability distribution for these perturbations is consistent with Gaussianity. However, Planck satellite data will bring a...
متن کاملNon-Gaussian Density Perturbations in Inflationary Cosmologies
The primordial mass density fluctuations may have arisen from quantum fluctuations in a (massless) scalar field that occurred during an inflationary era. We show that it is possible for primordial mass density fluctuations, which arose in this way, to be highly non-Gaussian. We also show that the “bad” infrared properties of the propagator for a massless scalar field in de Sitter space can tran...
متن کاملNon-Gaussianity and large-scale structure in a two-field inflationary model
Single-field inflationary models predict nearly Gaussian initial conditions, and hence a detection of non-Gaussianity would be a signature of the more complex inflationary scenarios. In this paper we study the effect on the cosmic microwave background and on large-scale structure from primordial nonGaussianity in a two-field inflationary model in which both the inflaton and curvaton contribute ...
متن کاملNon–Gaussian Primordial Fluctuations in Inflationary Cosmology
We analyze the non–Gaussian primordial fluctuations which are inescapably contributed by scalar fields Φ with vanishing expectation values, 〈Φ〉 = 0, present during inflation in addition to the inflaton field. For simplicity we take Φ to be non–interacting and minimally coupled to gravity. Φ is a Gaussian variable, but the energy density fluctuations contributed by such a field are χ–distributed...
متن کاملNon-Gaussianity, Spectral Index and Tensor Modes in Mixed Inflaton and Curvaton Models
We study non-Gaussianity, the spectral index of primordial scalar fluctuations and tensor modes in models where fluctuations from the inflaton and the curvaton can both contribute to the present cosmic density fluctuations. Even though simple single-field inflation models generate only tiny non-Gaussianity, if we consider such a mixed scenario, large non-Gaussianity can be produced. Furthermore...
